Stand Fast are a melodic hardcore band from Munster, Germany who take their influences from the likes of Hot Water Music, Rise Against, Alexisonfire, Thrice and Comeback Kid.
Originally founded as a side project in early 2007, it soon became obvious that everyone involved was eager to put more time and energy into the project and the band became a full time concern in 2008.
The five piece combines newschool hardcore elements with captivating melodies and passionate choruses. Intensive lyrics which are sung and screamed are underlined by emotional guitar and a hammering rhythm section.
The energy spreading out of their shows was captured on their debut album "Know Yourself In Things You Hate", which was originally released on the German label Fear The Crowd in 2009.
Following the release, Stand Fast were soon playing across their native country with Strung Out, A Wilhelm Scream, Polar Bear Club and The Casting Out.
Following two European tours with A New Day (UK) and Say Hello To The Angels (USA), the band hit the studio once more and the resulting EP "Challenges" was released late in 2010, once again by Fear The Crowd.
When the band's label shut down at the end of 2010, Stand Fast signed to Seven Records who will be releasing their back catalogue in the UK during 2011 before a new release, which will be recorded later in the year.
Having assisted many UK bands with booking shows and places to crash in Europe over the past 3 years, Stand Fast will be hitting the UK for their first tour in June 2011 with new label mates Without Fire.
This band are aching to conquer Europes stages with their intense, energetic and ferocious live set, and with the help of their many friends it is only a matter of time before they do!
