"Gives more than just a passing nod to the likes of Avail and Face to Face... it's a relief to hear a band come out of South-Wales that isn't afraid to ignore the current musical fashion "...
Punktastic.com
"A nice change of pace from the pseudo-metal influenced crap so popular
at the moment..a recommended listen"..
Trever Keith of Face to Face
"..Its simple punk rock with the attitude of Agnostic Front and the group vocals you'd expect to hear from the band and crowd at a Dropkick Murphys show.."

A NEW DAY / GIVING CHASE – Split
This is another great release from Rich at Seven Inch Records. Giving
Chase are a straight-up punk rock band. Some nice guitar parts here and
there, but to be honest a lot of it washes over me. A New Day, on the
other hand, are incredible. Now I am biased when I say this, as the boys
in A New Day are all some of the best friends I have. The two songs featured
here by them, ‘Elegy’ and ‘One Minute’ were written a while back,
and mix the vocal stylings of early Rise Against with ‘Is Dead’-era
Crime In Stereo experimental punk/hardcore. They are a band who
change members every few months, so with song-writing as solid as this
I hope they can manage to maintain a solid line-up, write an album and
see the pay-off for all the hard work, touring, debt and effort these boys
have put in. They fucking deserve it.
