QUESTION THE MARK
come out of the studio for a one off show.

Our latest signings have been recording their album over the last month and whilst they finish things off and get the final mixes they have been added to this bill for a gig at Le Pub in Newport.

Here is the line up, which features some awesome bands well worth checking out.

FACESHREDDER
From the North this four piece masked menace are powerslaming hardcore thrash into your willing ear holes. 1, 2, 3 Get ready for the madness, rock out with your cock out, thrash out with your gash out cos shreddamania is running wild brother...... OOOOOOHHH YEAH!

INTENSIVE SQUARE
Tired of the dull conventions of contemporary metal, we decided to leave the weaklings of the genre identifying with mock pessimism and false mythology in the mirrors of their parents’ bathrooms, whilst we forged tales about abstract universes of impossible science and apocalyptic horror. We staked out the places where all the bands in our area buy their make-up and burned them to the ground. This is masculine music that makes girls wet and starts fights. O, did we mention the new singer is Ben (ex Shaped By Fate)?

SMILER
Smiler are a 4 piece punk, rock, death metal band from South Wales with Michael Davies (Ex - January Thirst / FFAF / Makeshift Truth) on vocals, Gavin Gates (EX - George Annihilation / The Cull & currently in Four Letter Word) on bass, Ioan Thomas (George Annihilation / No Talent) on guitar and last but not least Marc Mills (Blackfly / 32a) on drums.

WE ARE MOVING!!!
Seven Records sets up new office deeper into Dragon Country!

This month we will be moving to Bridgend, S. Wales and setting up a brand new office.
At the beginning of the year we started working with the SuperFire collective based in South Wales and have been involved with several successful shows so far. The decision to move from our current location was a tough one, but we have decided to leave the sleepy hollow that is Chepstow.

Our new office is much larger, which means we will have more space for stock and we will be taking on extra staff, plus we will be announcing more tie ins with various people, bands and venues in the South Wales region.
This will be a huge step forward for us as a label as we continue to grow. We have a lot of exciting releases in the pipeline and to ensure that every band gets the attention they both require and deserve we hope the move is as smooth as possible.
We will be sending out our new contact details in due course to everyone concerned.

A NEW DAY
LAST EVER SHOW???

A New Day have announced that they will be playing their final show at Hobos in Bridgend with A Wilhelm Scream on 20th May 2010.

The band recently underwent some line up changes after both of their guitarists left the band prior to their planed 3 month European tour.
ex Miss Conduct guitarist Madge has been filling in on their tour of Scotland and UK dates with This Is A Standoff
Bassist Dan has said that they will be taking some time out to see where they go from here, but there are already plans to take the band over to the US at the end of the year with members of Giving Chase taking up six string duties.

We are really sad to see the guys go and hope that they don't call it a day. Either way, the show at Hobos is likely to be one hell of a night. AWS in a 200 capacity venue will be awesome anyway!

NEW SIGNINGS FOR 2010
Question The Mark

We have been in talks with several bands for releases in 2010, and we hope to bring you great news very soon on these bands.

The first band we have signed is QUESTION THE MARK.

We have known members of the Bridgend based 4 piece melodic punk band for quite a few years, and after catching them at a show at Le Pub in Newport recently we had a chat about working together.

So, we will be releasing the bands debut album later in the year, and they will be out on the road in May with Haddonfield.

Question The Mark's debut 3 track 7" 'Tearing Our Arm's Off Through' was released in 2009 by Exhume Industries and is one of a number of releases we will be adding to our distro in the next couple of days

If early Hot Water Music is your thing, then we urge you to check this band out!

NEW SIGNINGS FOR 2010...
THE FALLTHROUGH

Here at 7 HQ we'll be kicking off 2010 with the debut CD from Brighton punks THE FALLTHROUGH, who were formed early last year from the ashes of The Once Over and Chepstow's Ragweek. These boys are well worth checking out, believe me. 2009 saw the guys supporting Propaghandi, Leftover Crack, Rentokill and CYK across Europe, plus they self booked and funded a month long tour of Scandinavia, Russia & Canada. An incredible trip which included heavy snow, the russian train network, arrests and a murder... no seriously. Check Ed's tour diary on their page...

2009 ends...
A busy new year begins...

Our website is finally back up and running after a spring clean. It's now a lot more user friendly and has a lot more up to date info on all of our bands and their plans for the new year.

We have been busy talking to a couple of amazing bands and will be bringing you news of our new signings very soon, so keep your eyes peeled.

Until then however there is some serious drinking to be done. We'll be in Germany over New Year as the beers much better there than the UK. See you all at the bar in 2010!

CRAZY ARM
Major tour support for 2010

CRAZY ARM will be hitting the road in March 2010 with Frank Turner & Chuck Ragan (Hot Water Music). A lot of the dates are already sold out and a couple of the venues are getting upgraded to bigger capacities, so this will be by far the biggest tour the Plymouth roots-punk 4 piece have done. Frank Turner has been very vocal about how much he loves the band in a lot of magazines lately, and Crazy Arm's album was voted the 25th best album of 2009 in Big Cheese magazines end of year poll, beating a lot of big names! Also listen out for an exclusive session the guys recorded for Mike Davies BBC Radio 1 Lock Up show. It should be aired in January sometime.

A NEW DAY
Callum calls it a day

The merry-go-round of band members continues for the touring monster that is A NEW DAY. Vocalist Callum decided to call it quits at the end of their last tour which means bassist Dan has now taken over the vocal duties. Their last show of the year, with Ruiner at Le Pub in Newport, had to be pulled because of drummer issues, Worcester's Fights & Fires stood in at the last minute. A NEW DAY kick off another mammouth European tour in January, dates are on our gig page.

HADDONFIELD
Finally find new drummer

We are really looking forward to the return of HADDONFIELD, who have had a pretty quiet 2009. Now they have a new drummer in place and a new EP in the bag, live dates will be forthcoming and we will be releasing the EP in the spring. We can't say much at present, but just keep an eye out for some very big news from Haddonfield shortly... It's going to be a very interesting summer, put it that way!
