We have had soooooo many messages from bands over the last year, asking us to sign them, so we thought we'd put together a compilation featuring some of the hardest touring bands out there.
The next bands we sign for a full release will have been featured on our compilation first.

The first compilation is now complete and we will be announcing the full track listing shortly.

We will be releasing a second compilation later in the year and already have a number of bands in mind, however there are slots available and the more bands that contact us, the more compilations we will do.

So please read this if you are genuinely interested in being featured on 'In Transit'.

1) We are looking for 16 - 20 bands for the compilation.

2) The compilation release 'In Transit' will be released on Seven Records on CD. Seven Records Ltd is a fully registered limited company in the UK. This doesn't mean we are not DIY and a rogue company out to screw bands. We are a Limited Company because we take being a label very seriously. Every penny is accounted for and the Band will be informed of every step of the process if they so wish to be. The costs for pressing the compilation is coming out of our pockets, therefore we are going to make 150% sure it's a top line up and a quality release.

3) The compilation will not be genre specific, but please bear in mind the bands we have already released and worked with and the style of music they play, it might give you an idea where we are heading. We are not looking for the next Oasis, Stereophonics or N Dubs thanks.

4) Please email us or message us on Myspace and let us know you have read this page and you are interested.

5) We will prefer you to mail (POST - you know, with a stamp & everything) us your current release plus a biography and detailed gig history of the past 6 - 8 months.

Please note: we will not accept submissions in the form of MP3's or 'please listen to our myspace'.

If bands would like to use the compilation to showcase brand new tracks, then we will require a CD with the tracks in .WAV or .CDA format only.

If we have contacted you directly, then we are already aware of your bands music and how much you tour. We will only require the track you wish to submit.

6) Bands who have a proven gig history and tour their asses off will be the ones on the compilation. Be honest... if you only play local shows as the support band to your mates band down the local pub then this isn't going to work.

'In Transit' is all about showcasing bands that live out of the back of a van, parked up in service stations, slogging their guts out up an down the country on the DIY circuit. Until you've spent a minimum of 2 weeks sleeping in a swb transit with 5 other guys and a full backline, you haven't toured :)

7) The Band will be required to sign a non-exclusive release agreement for the track submitted. For anyone worried about contracts, this is just to say that we have been given authority by the band to use the track on the compilation in both CD and digital form. We will have no claim on the track either in copyright or publishing and will not be entitled to or able to claim any royalties from the track if any is due through radio play. This is entirely upto the Band themselves to arrange, either through membership of the PRS, MCPS or through a publishing agent. Any profits from the digital downloading of the submitted track will be paid direct to the band.

8) The Band will not be required to pay to be included on the compilation. There are no upfront costs whatsoever. If bands want copies of the compilation to sell at their gigs or locally in their area, then we can sell them to the band at cost price and any profit the band makes is theirs.

9) Distribution will be through Code 7 (UK), Sonic (Benelux) & we are currently talking to 6 other companies from USA, Germany, Scandinavia & Japan, however the bands are encouraged to promote the release themselves.

SUBMISSION APPROVAL BY:- 01/06/10
