Haddonfield formed in late 2004 and their first 3 track demo, entitled 'And Deliver Us From...' was recorded in 3 days at a friends in-house studio early in 2005 It was given out for free at shows and early reviews compared their sound to Alkaline Trio, Face To Face and Avail.
During 2009, Haddonfield's original drummer Glenn refused to take part in any shows or recording and eventually left the band to join fellow South Wales punks Four Letter Word and was replaced by Phil Edwards
from the band Boys With Xray Eyes.
With a new drummer in place, recording sessions commenced and a new EP was recorded late in 2009. Those lucky enough to hear the bands new material have commented on how mature their sound has become. Phil has brought a new level to the band and comparisons to Bouncing Souls and Strike Anywhere have been made. One listener even commented that vocalist Rhys is the Joe Strummer of the 21st century!!!
Haddonfield plan to release a new EP in Spring 2010 followed by an extensive UK tour and some high profile support slots, with some European dates along the way.
Their first show was an Animal Rights Benefit show at TJ's in Newport, South Wales, on August 14th 2005 and the band have played numerous benefit shows since, especially for Cancer Research charities.
The band began to build momentum and started to make a name for themselves on the local gig circuit by taking the attitude of not sticking within a scene and opting instead to play with whomever they could as often as they could.
Constant gigging throughout 2006-08 landed them gigs & tours with: The Misfits, UK Subs, Drongo’s For Europe, Osaka Pop Star (Ft Markey Ramone), Kris Roe (Ataris), Against All Authority, 4ft Fingers, Spunge, The Drips, A New Day, Solutions, Adequate 7, Zico Chain, The Guns, Midasuno, Dopamine, Said Mike and many local bands across the UK.
Haddonfield have also played shows sponsored by Big Cheese magazine, Atticus Clothing and Xfm, and have been sponsored by Jagermeister and underground clothing labels
Dead Metal Clothing and 13 Dead.
Haddonfield's self-produced demo EP, 'And Deliver Us From', was released in 2005 and is no longer available.
In 2007, their debut EP 'Bar Brawls & Downfalls' released on indie label Thousand Yard Stereo which was part produced by both Greg Haver
(Manic Street Preachers) and Nick Lloyd (Midasuno).
'Bar Brawls...' received great reviews from international punk & rock press and it was even given a big thumbs up from Trever Keith of the Californian punk
rock band, Face to Face, whom the band are huge fans of.
April of 2007 saw the EP getting chosen as Record of the Week on Steve Lamacqs Online Radio show
6-music and both Channel 4 and Bomerang TV have used the track 'Panic' on their extreme sports programmes.
Their debut single 'Panic' was released as a Ltd Edition 7" Green vinyl in November 2008 with exclusive B sides 'Things Change' featuring guest vocals from Nicky Solutions & 'Broke (acoustic)' which featured Chris Morgan (Accident Music / ex- Midasuno) on piano. The B sides were produced by Chris Morgan in Cardiff.
SubbaCultcha magazine used the track 'Panic' on their monthly podcasts and Radio 1, Radio Wales, Xfm, BRfm, GTFM & Kerrang Radio played 'Panic' several times.
The track 'A&E' was released on a US compilation called Underground Rising, released by Dark Sky Records in Feb 2009.
A new 6 track EP, with the working title '2010: A Musical Oddity' will be released in 2010 through Seven Records.
A currently unreleased track'Up Shit Creek', which was produced by Todd Cambell at Skwad and is the last recording to feature Glenn on drums will be featured on Seven Records 'In Transit' compilation, which is due for release in Spring 2010.
After demoing several new tracks with Alex from The Guns handling the production in November 2009, Haddonfield will resume the recording of their album with producer Todd Cambell at Skwad.

"Gives more than just a passing nod to the likes of Avail and Face to Face... it's a relief to hear a band come out of South-Wales that isn't afraid to ignore the current musical fashion "...

"A nice change of pace from the pseudo-metal influenced crap so popular
at the moment..a recommended listen"..
Trever Keith of Face to Face
"..Its simple punk rock with the attitude of Agnostic Front and the group vocals you'd expect to hear from the band and crowd at a Dropkick Murphys show.."
