A Thousand Arrows are a Cardiff based 4-piece playing raw, aggressive, post-hardcore. Music played from the heart, bulging with titanic riffs and epic melodies.
A Thousand Arrows formed after the members played together in Helmet and Life of Agony tribute bands for a charity show in the summer of 2009. The band’s sound is a natural combination of the melodic post-hardcore of the great British bands they grew up with (Hell Is For Heroes, Hundred Reasons, Million Dead) with the hard edged sound of early 90’s New York (Handsome, Quicksand, Snapcase). After a number of live shows and a rough demo, the band hit the studio in July 2010 with Todd Campbell (son of Motorhead’s Phil Campbell). The resultant tracks have seen airplay on the BBC Radio 1 Rock Show and BBC Radio Wales.
The band’s split 7” with Sweden’s Battle of Santiago is due for release in early March on Seven Inch Records with an accompanying UK tour featuring both bands and Cardiff’s Goodtime Boys. An album is planned for release in late 2011.
The band members are all experienced musicians having spent many years touring and playing in previous bands: Shaped By Fate, Raging Speedhorn, Viking Skull, Pannel, The Slowdance.
